Why Covenant School of Ministry?
Many people sense a call from God but lack a clear pathway for theological formation, spiritual growth, discernment, and preparation for their Kingdom assignment.
This is not simply a classroom-based program. It is a two-year formation journey designed to help students wrestle with deeper questions:

• How can I grow as a spiritual and theological leader?

Covenant School of Ministry exists to form disciples in the way of Jesus by renewing the Head through biblical and theological study, shaping the Heart through spiritual practice and communion with God, and equipping the Hands for faithful service in the work of the Kingdom and the renewal of all creation.

Our Ancient Pathway
Covenant School of Ministry offers a distinctive approach to learning rooted in the ancient traditions of scholastic study, monastic spirituality, and mentored apprenticeship. We practice Jesus’ model of disciple-making by integrating the rhythms of community, the rigor of study, spiritual devotion, and individualized tutoring. Through this approach, students are formed not simply to know more but to become fully who God has called them to be in their generation.

Covenant School of Ministry integrates three dimensions of formation throughout the student experience. Together, they describe the whole-person formation CSOM seeks to cultivate.
HEAD
Biblical and theological study, engagement with Scripture and the Christian tradition, wisdom, disciplined inquiry, and learning to think with the mind of Christ.
HEART
Prayer, worship, Scripture, communion, spiritual practices, community, character, discernment, and attentiveness to the presence of God.
HANDS
Leadership, service, apprenticeship, directed tutorials, practical experience, feedback, and the development of skills for the work of the Kingdom.
A Two-Year, 30-Unit Pathway
Covenant School of Ministry offers a structured two-year, 30-unit, non-degree religious education program completed through four academic semesters. Students share a common theology core while pursuing one of three certificate pathways in Theology and Ministry, Kingdom Leadership, or Worship Arts.
The curriculum integrates biblical and theological study, spiritual formation, applied learning, supervised Apprenticeship, focused Directed Tutorial, and a culminating pathway Capstone.

The first Covenant School of Ministry cohort begins January 11, 2027. Students meet on Monday evenings from 6:00–9:30 p.m. and complete one Common Theology Core course together with the first course in their selected certificate pathway. The Spring 2027 semester runs from January 11 through April 26, 2027.

Students in Theology & Ministry and Kingdom Leadership begin their pathway with formation in discipleship, spiritual leadership, faithful followership, and authority.
WORSHIP ARTS
Way of the Worshiper
WOR 111 | 3 Units | Hybrid
Worship Arts students begin with the spiritual and biblical formation of the worshiper, developing identity, character, private devotion, humility, and a whole-life understanding of worship before platform leadership and public ministry.
Be Formed for the Work of the Kingdom
Covenant School of Ministry is designed to form disciples and leaders who are deeply rooted in Christ, grounded in Scripture and Christian theology, shaped through spiritual formation, and equipped for faithful service in the Church and throughout the Kingdom.
